There are many rebates on the market today for homeowners for a variety of products in the plumbing category.   The major utilities in town, Centerpoint, Xcel and Dakota Electric offer utility rebates on a variety of high efficiency products…from water heaters to air conditioners to furnaces to name a few.  There are other rebates at the Federal level this year (2010) for certain products as well.

For example, we recently installed a tankless water heater for a homeowner in St. Paul.  This homeowner qualified for the Federal Tax Credit and will receive $1500 back on her 2010 taxes when she files in 2011 (a tax credit is not a tax deduction, it is dollar for dollar real money).  And she has already received the $400 Xcel Energy tankless water heater rebate!  WOW that’s incredible!   The Xcel tankless water heater rebate is one of the very best water heater rebates that we’ve ever seen.    (Centerpoint does not currently offer a residential tankless water heater rebate.)
